I’m thinking of drawing my pension

Before you draw your pension, you have some important decisions to make, for example:

• when exactly you retire - at your Normal Retirement Age or earlier or later
• what exactly you want to get out of your pension and how to best achieve your aims
• If you're an active member, whether you want to take part or all of your pension under Flexible Retirement, whilst permanently reducing your working hours and continuing to work for BA and build up pension for future service
• your choices including exchanging a pension for a lump sum and what you want from any Additional Voluntary Contributions (AVCs) you have within APS.

Remember, you're planning for the long term. Try to think about every possibility for you and your family.
